To use the Google Analytics API with Analytic.Plus, you need to take the following steps to sign up and configure the Google Analytics API.
Analytic.Plus requires a credentials json file for integration, so follow the specific instructions from Analytic.Plus to create the json file. Here are general instructions:
Step 1: Create Project and API Configuration on Google Cloud Platform
1. Sign in to your Google account and access [Google Cloud Console](https://console.cloud.google.com/).
2. Create a new project by clicking the project icon (Project) and then selecting "Create Project". Name your project.
3. Enable Google Analytics API:
- Select "API & Services" > "Library" in the left navigator or go to the link https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/dashboard.
- Find and activate the following 4 APIs: "Analytics Reporting API", "Google Analytics Data API", "Google Analytics Admin API", "Google Analytics API" for your project.
4. Generate and download API key:
- Select "API & Services" > "OAuth consent screen" in the left navigator.
- Select "External" then press the "Create" button
- Fill in the information as required, then press the "Save and continue" button and continue "Save and continue" until creation is complete.
- Then "Publish App" and the result will be as shown below.
- Select "API & Services" > "Credentials" in the left navigator.
- Select "Create Credentials" and select "OAuth 2.0 Client".
- Select Application Type as "Web Application".
- In the "Authorized redirect URIs" section, click the Add Uri button and fill in the following link : https://analytic.plus/oauth2callback
- Select "Create" to create login information (Client ID and Client Secret).
- Download the JSON file containing authorization information.
Step 2: Configure Access Rights for Analytic.Plus
Once you have your Google credentials, you need to configure access permissions to allow Analytic.Plus to use the Google Analytics API.
- Access the Json File API management setup screen using the following link: https://analytic.plus/manage-credentials
- In the "Management" section, select "Create" and upload the Json file then click "Save changes".
- So you have set up Google Analytic Api to use.
- Next, go to https://analytic.plus/dashboard and "Add website", select the website and execute Save
